SAME SEX DIVORCE
On June 27, 2015, the United States Supreme Court issued its landmark ruling that same sex marriage shall be recognized in the United States, making it legal in Texas as well. Therefore, same sex couples are subject to the same laws as spouses of traditional marriages in Texas. This means that same sex couples whose marriage is no longer viable must go through the same legal divorce process as heterosexual couples.
